About
Morocco is the tile pattern I designed from the shared history of Mediterranean and North African tilework — the same geometry and colour language still found in Maltese courtyards, reworked into something entirely my own. I tiled it into my own hallway at home, so I know how well it holds up to daily life, not just how it photographs.
This set of four oval coasters brings that same pattern to the everyday table — protecting the wood underneath while doing more work than a plain coaster ever could. Grouped together they hold their own on a coffee table between uses, not just tucked away in a drawer.
Each coaster starts with a hand-painted base, worked in loose, visible strokes, before the Morocco pattern is set and sealed in a durable, heat-resistant finish. Because that base is made by hand, no two coasters — even within the same set — are ever quite identical.
A set like this makes an easy gift precisely because it’s useful from the day it arrives: a housewarming present, a small addition to a wedding or anniversary gift, or something to treat your own table to.
Hand Crafted
Buying handmade also means you are buying products that are unique. Items will look similar to the image but never the same. Every tile pattern is designed by me, and these can be personalised subject to availability. There may be visible imperfections, as well as stripped paint, lumps and bumps on the surface, which give the design its old, rustic look — integral and unique to my art.
Unless specified, your item will be similar to the one pictured but never exact, as most items are made to order.
